lyrics
why i dip my toe before i take the dive? i’m freezing to death to be warm and alive. i’m going in anyway, yeah anyway i’m heading back to school, the waves are coming in too. what’s that buzzing? what’s that aching down on the quad? before it gets too sad thinking my “was” is all that i have… who’s that coming.. right now, just then? i’m wringing my hands. looking, thinking, holding back and… shadows lay on the lawn on a soft sunday morning where nothing else is getting my appointments. what should i say for my own sake? i’m going in anyway, well anyway. i’ve abandoned the idea of holding my breath. it saved me from sanity digging by candlelight. the medicines thunder activates my lame ingredient. certainly not flirting with what doesn’t hurt. whatever happened to following a feeling just to see where it goes? i wanna get there first just once. you know i’m ready to drown and get washed away.
